About iSoulChat
iSoulChat is a directory of AI companion and character chat sites. We catalogue 101 products across 8 categories, and the only thing we sell is a clear view of what each one actually costs and actually does.
Why this exists
Finding a companion app is easy. Finding out what it will really cost you is not. In this category the pricing page hides the real number behind coins and credits, the feature list is written by the marketing team, the reviews are paid for or written once and never revisited, and half the comparison sites are affiliate farms where the ranking is whatever pays best that month.
So we built the opposite of that: one page per product, the same fields for every product, a price you can check against the vendor’s own pricing page, and a date saying when a person last looked. Where we have not checked something, the page says so instead of filling the gap with something plausible.
What we are not
- Not a companion service. We do not operate an AI, host characters, or receive the messages you send to sites we link to. We describe products and link out to them.
- Not a review site with borrowed authority. We publish no invented authors, no stock-photo editorial board, no awards we gave ourselves.
- Not a pay-to-rank list. Position comes from the editorial score, never from a payment. A sponsored placement exists, is labelled as sponsored, and sits outside the ranked list.
How we make money
Some outbound links may earn us a commission, and every one of them is disclosed before you click. Commission has no effect on whether a product is listed, how it scores, or where it appears. If a listing cannot be justified on its merits, we do not list it — the commission is worth less than the directory being trustworthy. The full terms are in our affiliate disclosure.
Who maintains it
A small editorial team maintains the catalogue by hand: opening products, reading pricing pages, using free tiers, and re-checking entries as pricing changes. We do not publish author personas — the accountability is a working inbox, not a byline. Questions, corrections and removal requests all reach the same address: [email protected].

- 101 entries hand-verified so far. The rest are compiled from public pricing pages and product documentation, and say “Pricing unverified” until we get to them.
