Help & support

Short answers to the questions that come up most — how the filters work, why a price can differ from the checkout page, what an unverified entry means, and how to get something fixed or listed.

Using the directory

How do I find a companion site that fits what I actually want?

Start from the categories and tag pages, or use the filters on any category page — price, long-term memory, voice calls, image generation, self-hosting and maturity level. Filters combine, and your selection is kept in the URL, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or sent to someone else.

Why is a price here different from what the checkout page shows?

Companion pricing changes often, varies by region and currency, and frequently runs promotions. We record two different numbers and never blur them: the sticker price on the public pricing page, and the effective monthly cost where a longer plan works out cheaper. Always confirm the final amount at checkout. If a number is simply wrong, tell us and we will re-check it.

What does “Pricing unverified” mean?

It means nobody has opened that product yet and confirmed the price and features by hand. Rather than print a date we did not earn, the entry says so. Entries we have personally checked carry the date we checked them — the count of verified entries is deliberately small and moves slowly.

What does the editor score measure?

Conversation quality weighs most heavily, then the features that change daily use — memory, voice, image and video — then value for the price you actually pay, then platform coverage. It is an opinion, it is ours, and it moves when a product changes. No payment can change it.

Can I hide adult listings?

You already are. Adult listings are opt-in and off by default, so what you see first on every category is SFW, and the pre-rendered page search engines read is the same SFW view. Turn on the 18+ option in the filters if you want those products included.

Correcting and contributing

How do I report a wrong price, a feature that no longer exists, or a dead link?

Use the feedback form and pick “A price or fact is wrong”. Include the page you were reading and, if you can, the number you saw elsewhere — that saves us a round trip. Corrections from users are as welcome as corrections from the companies involved, and are handled the same way.

How do I get a site listed?

Submit it through the submission form. Listing is free, there is no paid fast-track, and every submission is reviewed the same way: we open the product, read its pricing page and check that the features we record actually exist rather than being roadmap promises.

Can I pay to appear higher in a category or a best-of list?

No. Position comes from the editorial score, with editor’s picks lifted first. The only paid slot that exists is a clearly labelled sponsored placement, and it sits outside the ranked list — it never changes an ordering or a score.

Do you run any of these companions, or store the chats I have there?

iSoulChat is a directory: it hosts no character conversations and never receives the messages you send to the sites we link to. Every listing is a written description plus a link out.

Still stuck

A site I know exists is not in the directory. Why?

Either we have not found it yet, or it is excluded on purpose — we do not list products without an age gate, products marketed at minors, or anything we cannot verify as a real, operating business. If you think it belongs here, submit it and we will look.

What if my question is not answered here?

Email [email protected] and we will answer. Corrections, listing questions, rights requests and removal requests all reach that one inbox — we read everything. It is a small editorial team reading it, not a help desk on a clock, so a reply can take a few days.

Prefer email? Write to [email protected]. For removal or rights requests, read DMCA & takedowns first — it explains what we need from you so the request does not bounce back.
