Who writes and verifies this

Everything on iSoulChat is published under one byline — iSoulChat Editorial — because one small team does both jobs: writing the guides and checking the entries by hand. There is no anonymous content farm behind this, and equally there is no single named reviewer we can honestly put on every page.

Why the byline is a team, not a person

Directory work is mostly verification, and verification is done in batches by whoever is on it that week. Attributing an entry we checked in a batch to a fictional individual reviewer would look better on a “reviewed by” line and be a lie. We would rather be less decorative and more accurate — the same reason entries we have not checked say Pricing unverified instead of showing a date.

What the team actually does

What we refuse to do

Track record you can check

47 of 41 listed entries carry a hand-verification date. Verification is not just a price check: in the most recent pass over 14 entries we found four substantive errors, and none of them were the price figure — they were renamed products, stale platform lists and a homepage that now redirects somewhere else. That is why the process is the product here.

Guides

The 37 guides in the blog are written by the same team and use the same catalogue. Where a guide makes a comparison, the numbers come from the entry pages rather than from a separate set of figures that could drift. Read the editorial policy for the full set of rules, and how we test for what a verification pass covers.

Reaching us

Corrections, questions about a listing, and rights or removal requests all reach the same inbox: [email protected]. Corrections from readers carry the same weight as corrections from the companies involved — more, usually, because readers tell us what they actually saw after paying.
